We kick off our event series with the inaugural Runway 5k Run/Ruck at Ellington Airfield, bringing together veterans, military families, and community supporters for fitness, fun, and community!

CIS transforms the message from "what can we do for veterans" to "what can veterans do for our communities," showcasing how veterans and military families strengthen America through civic engagement and community leadership. The CIX displays service opportunities in Greater Houston and beyond for veterans and military families of all skill levels and time commitments.

The evening culminates with a reception celebrating the Marine Corps' 250th birthday, honoring our military heritage, as well as an impact awards ceremony, celebrating and looking toward the future of VMF leadership.
