What We Do
The Homefront Sentinel
We the vigilant.
Bad actors, including foreign adversaries, are targeting the veteran and military family community with scams, cyber attacks, and propaganda. The Homefront Sentinel, a project of We the Veterans and Military Families, conducts expert research on these threats to increase our community’s resilience against them.
“This is not a theoretical concern. Our research further suggests there may be more than 10,000 fake military-related accounts across platforms, many with large followings and substantial engagement. These pages often originate in regions like Eastern Europe, China, Iran and Vietnam. Some are scams. Others are likely components of foreign information operations.”

False Valor Files
False valor (n): The exploitation of the veteran and military community’s credibility for unethical purposes, such as scams or information operations by foreign adversaries, individuals, or groups unaffiliated with the community.
Our team researches, identifies, and builds awareness of cases of false valor affecting the military community and other potential stakeholders or victims of these scams.
