Governor Whitmer declared August 11th as Michigan Poll Worker Recruitment Day, honoring the work of Vet the Vote, the nonpartisan campaign mobilizing veterans and military families to serve as poll workers. The coverage aired on WLAJ ABC 53's News This Morning.

The numbers speak for themselves. In 2024, Vet the Vote recruited more than 163,000 veterans and military family members to staff elections. Now, as the campaign looks ahead to upcoming elections, it's doubling down on expansion—because veterans understand what it means to protect democracy.
