Our Work in the News: Mary Bennett Doty Featured in PolitiFact

Our own Mary Bennett Doty, Associate Director of Programs at We the Veterans & Military Families, was quoted today in a PolitiFact investigation exposing a wave of AI-generated videos falsely depicting U.S. service members crying and in distress. Mary Bennett warned that content like this adds to inflammatory rhetoric and risks deepening division at a time when military families are already navigating enormous uncertainty.

This is exactly the threat the Homefront Sentinel was built to counter. Foreign adversaries and bad actors are actively targeting the veteran and military family community online — and work like this helps our community recognize and resist it.
